Product Information
We only use high quality seeds in all our mixtures, the grasses and clovers are all SRUC No.1 varieties, in other words they are currently the most productive and reliable varieties available on the UK market. All our grass seed complies with the Higher Voluntary Standards set by the SASA certification scheme in relation to germination and purity. Certificates can be supplied on request.
Yes, this is no problem, just select your grass seed for the appropriate area and the quantity of westerwolds you would like added. In the comments box during the checkout process please just ask us to mix the seed and we will do this.
Yes, we are registered with the Soil Association and can usually supply an organic version of most of our mixtures. Please call or email us for more information.
As we buy in all our grass seeds as straights, we can make up mixtures to any specification. Please call or email us for more information.
The standard bag size is 25kg and so we will make up your order with multiple 25kg bags with any additional kgs required being supplied in a clearly labelled bag.
Arable silage mixtures may be supplied in either 25kg or 500kg bags. Please indicate your preference in the comments section during checkout.
Yes, all our seed will come with both a certification label and an address label on which the sowing rate will be given. Sometimes people also like to have a field reference added, if this is the case please add it in the comments section during the checkout process.
Ordering Online
Online payments may be made using most major Credit and Debit Cards via the secure integrated Stripe option at checkout.
R.M. Welch & Son Ltd. uses the very latest security systems including data encryption and SSL (Single Socket Layer) to ensure online payment information is completely safe.
Our Web Store and Server are regularly scanned and verified by Security Metrics. No debit or credit card information is retained within our store database, server database, office computer system or any form of ledger once a transaction has been completed.
Not at all, if you prefer to give us a call at the office on 01382 532139 during our office hours of Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5.00 we can take your order over the phone and payment can be made by payment card at that point.
No, this is purely an option at the end of the checkout process. The only advantage of setting up an account is that when you order from us again you will be able to see what you ordered previously.
Not unless you opt into our promotional email option by ticking the selection box when you set up an account. You can unsubscribe at any point.
A receipted invoice will be emailed to you at the end of the ordering process.
Pricing
All stated prices include VAT where applicable, seeds are zero rated for VAT with the exception of wildflower and a few game crop items.
While we endeavour to offer our best prices online we can sometimes reduce this for large orders of over 500kg, please call and we will do our best to sharpen our pencil!
DELIVERY
Orders over £100 qualify for free delivery within the UK, while orders under £100 are subject to a £10 carriage charge. You may also collect from our store.
Yes, if you have special delivery instructions such as “ put in the garage if not at home” then please add these in the comments box at checkout.
No – we currently only deliver to UK mainland registered addresses.
We are currently unable to ship to either of these locations due to restrictions on grass seed, fertiliser and wildflower seed products. We are continuing to monitor the situation and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused. We hope to be able to provide our products to our customers in these locations soon, thank you for your patience.
If you choose this option at checkout we will phone/email you to let you know when your order is ready for collection. You can collect any time during our office hours of 8.30am to 5.00pm or by arrangement at other times.
